Cindi sees her musical journey as a path with many twists and turns yet skillfully guided by the Lord. With her family's support in nurturing her musical gifts, Cindi began leading worship as a child, singing and playing the chord organ. As opportunities came along, Cindi broadened her musical journeys by filling in as church organist, Youth/College Music Team leader and accompanist. Though her initial post-college career began in science laboratory research, Cindi was led by the Lord to begin teaching music lessons, and was called to professional church music leadership roles.
At First Baptist Church, she first began accompanying on the organ and leading the Adult Choir. Over the years, under her leadership as Music Director, the church program expanded into adult Praise Teams/Worship Band, the Teen/Young Adult Worship Teams, Children's Chorus and Drama Teams.
During the Pandemic in 2020, like many others, Cindi was encouraged to use creative gifts and new tools to take FBC online. She began leading the Video and Audio ministries, training teens and adults to provide service for times of worship.
Cindi received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and her master's degree in Music and Worship from Liberty University. Over the years, she has been blessed to work with many talented musicians who have a heart for God. "Our worship at FBC is authentic to the core; I have learned so much from these passionate worshipers. I could never have grown so much in my worship without these genuine, faithful and talented brothers and sisters in Christ." Cindi greatly values the rich history of worship music found in hymns both ancient and modern, spiritual songs and cultural traditions. which make up the worship life of First Baptist Church. "We honor each member's musical worship traditions because we live out our faith and worship in community."
Cindi owes a huge amount of gratitude to her husband Tom for all of his technical support. She and Tom have been blessed to raise two sons who are musically talented and have moved abroad where they serve in technical fields. "God has not only called me, but He gifted me with resources and support far beyond I could have ever asked or knew that I needed."
Cindi is a lifelong Phillies fanatic, enjoys playing ping-pong, badminton and pickleball, dancing for fitness, and doing scenic hiking and biking. She enjoys visiting new places and exploring God's amazing creation.
